Limelight Event Services
A new website for an Inverness event production company, with a hire catalogue of their sound, lighting, staging and AV equipment, and an admin area the team runs themselves.
The Client
Limelight Event Services was established in the Highlands in 1991, and has provided sound, lighting, staging and AV for concerts, festivals and corporate events throughout the UK for over 35 years.
The team works from a warehouse on Seafield Road in Inverness, with a stock of professional equipment led by an L-Acoustics K2 sound system that can cover audiences of up to 20,000.
The Challenge
Limelight’s customers range from festival organisers to corporate event planners, and many want to know exactly what equipment is available before they get in touch. The website needed to show the scale of the work, make the hire stock easy to browse, and be simple for the team to keep up to date as the stock changes.

The Solution
I designed and built a new website from scratch, in black with their own yellow, so the event photography and the equipment stand out.
Behind it is a custom admin area, so the team can update the equipment, photos and news themselves.

- A hire catalogue for audio, lighting, staging, power, rigging and visual equipment, with filters by type, from speakers and desks to radio mics and in-ear monitors
- A page for each item, with its photo and description
- A photo gallery of their events
- News, an employment page for freelance technicians and drivers, and a Find us page
- A contact form at the foot of the main pages
- An admin area for the equipment, photos and news

The outcome
Event organisers can now browse Limelight’s stock by type, see each item on its own page, and get in touch without leaving the page they’re on.
Because the team runs the catalogue themselves, it stays up to date as equipment comes and goes.
