I’m Chris. Since 2004 I’ve designed and built websites for Moray businesses: joiners, tree surgeons, kennels, florists, a castle and a war memorial. Every one made from scratch, so it fits the business instead of the other way round.

You deal with me, from the first chat to years after launch.Happy to meet you anywhere in Moray.More about me

What I do

Web design, web development, SEO and looking after it all: four things, done properly by one person. No hand-offs, no call centre, and no templates.

Starter websites£300 to £600

Websites, built from scratch

Designed around your business and written by hand, so it’s quick on phones, easy to find and looks like nobody else’s.

  • A clear page for every service and area you cover
  • Your reviews and real photos where people look first
  • Tap-to-call and a contact form on every page

MST Joinery, Cullen: its own page for joinery, kitchens, new builds, roofing and decking.

How I build websites

Found on Google

Local SEO done properly: pages for the towns you cover, a Google Business Profile that works as hard as your site, and writing people actually search for.

  • Location pages for your area
  • Google Business Profile checked and tidied
  • Search Console set up at launch
  • Visitor stats in plain English, if Google Analytics is too much

I do it for myself too: my travel site Live Breathe Scotland gets around 50,000 visitors a month.

How I get you found

Bookings, shops and web apps

Web development for the jobs a website could do for you: taking bookings, selling online with an e-commerce shop, or keeping records people can search.

  • Online bookings and enquiry forms
  • Shops and online payments
  • Searchable databases with simple admin

Bay Tree Florists: online enquiries doubled within weeks. Buckie War Memorial: 362 names, all searchable.

Web apps and phone apps

Looked after, for years

Hosting, updates and changes from one person just along the road. When something needs doing, you ring me.

  • Secure hosting and backups
  • Changes and updates when you need them
  • Plain-English advice, no jargon

Brumley Brae: “Chris built my website and has maintained it for many years.”

Web apps and phone apps

When a website isn’t enough. If there’s a job you do over and over by phone, on paper or in a spreadsheet, I can build a tool that does it for you, in a web browser or as an app on your phone.

Web apps

Booking systems, client portals, dashboards, searchable databases and workflow tools, with simple admin screens so you stay in charge.

Phone apps

An app your customers keep on their phone for bookings, offers and updates, or one for your team out on jobs, with job sheets, photos and sign-offs.

Buckie War Memorial: a searchable database of all 362 names, each with their own page. Bay Tree Florists: online enquiries doubled within weeks.

Questions people ask

How much does a website cost?

Starter websites are £300 to £600, or about £25 to £50 a month. Small business websites of five to ten pages are £800 to £3,000. Online shops are £1,500 to £20,000+, depending on how many products you have and what the checkout needs to do. Bookings, web apps and phone apps are priced after a quick chat, because they depend on what the job is. You get the price in writing before anything starts. There’s more on the prices page.

How long does it take?

Most websites take four to eight weeks from our first chat to going live. Bigger projects can take longer, and I’ll give you a realistic date at the start.

Do you meet in person?

Yes. I’m based in Arradoul, just outside Buckie, and I’m happy to meet at your premises anywhere in Moray. If a phone or video call suits you better, that’s fine too.

Do you work outside Moray?

Yes. Most of my clients are in Moray, but I work with businesses, charities and community groups across Scotland, mostly by phone, email and video call. How it works across Scotland.

Why don’t you use WordPress or templates?

Because every site I build is written from scratch for that business. It loads faster, has nothing to update every week, and doesn’t look like thousands of other sites. You still get a simple way to make changes if you need one.

I already have a website. Can you help?

Yes. Most of my work is replacing an old or tired website. When we switch over, I make sure nothing gets lost with Google, and if your current site just needs a few fixes, I’ll tell you that honestly.

What’s the catch with the free mock-up?

There isn’t one. I design your new homepage so you can see what it would look like with your own details. If you like it, we talk about the rest. If you don’t, that’s the end of it.

Let’s make yours memorable.

Tell me a little about your business and I’ll design your new homepage for free, using your own services, photos and reviews. You see it before deciding anything.

  1. 1You tell me about your business. Two minutes on this form, or a quick call.
  2. 2I design your homepage. Your details, not dummy text.
  3. 3You decide. If it’s not for you, that’s the end of it.
